SEPTEMBER SATURDAYS

September in Grand Cayman is beautiful, it's still a bit hot in the afternoon but the mornings are a delight and there's a fresh painted sunset sky everyday. Kalel has been enjoying his swimming class and seems to be learning more each time. It's amazing to how fast babies can learn. As of today, Kalel is 5-1/2 months, 16.5 lbs. and approximately 2'-0" tall. Enjoy the video and photos. Good vibes to you all from the Cayman Islands, Thomas, Lyana and Kalel.

TIME FOR BED

This is an example of what makes changing diapers all worth while...

Learning To Swim with Love

As of yesterday Kalel is 5 months in age. He's beginning to be more playful and laughs every chance he gets. Below are some photos and a couple of videos of his first day of swimming classes. Future Olympian?

The Rondo

Here it is folks, after 16 hours of trying to go natural, things took a different course... In the end it was the better choice, we found out that his cord was in a loose knot and if it would have been natural there may have been complications. It was an intense moment but all is super well! See more video below...

In His mother's arms

The Weigh-In 6 lbs. 15.5 ounces 19" Long (head-to-toe that is...)

He looks a little marked up from delivery but he's good to go!

April 12, 2008 6:48 pm Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Introducing Kalel Orlando Bolas... After 16 long hours of labor, the doctors had to perform a c-section to bring the little guy into the world. Lyana was strong through the whole process and we both feel very blessed to have a healthy son.

The Adventures of Thomas and Lyana

As of today Lyana and I have been married 9 months and 21 days or 42 weeks and we are expecting our first baby, Kalel. We're at the 38th week of pregnancy, so yeah, things after marriage happened fast and they're getting faster... this morning at 3:30 a.m. Lyana began her first contractions. We're thinking our baby boy may be born earlier than the predicted day, 25 of April. All bets are on, our neighbors are guessing the 15th and the 17th and Lyana and I are betting on the 20th, which is a full moon. At any rate we're hoping it's not before the 14th, the day Lyana's parents arrive. I'll keep you posted...

Meanwhile enjoy some photos:
